About the Bulletin
The Center of Professional Excellence in English Language Teaching Bulletin is a biannual publication that covers different aspects of English language teaching (ELT). It aims to empower teachers by providing their insights into bridging the gap between theory and practice in ELT classroom practices and fostering best ELT practices through sharing knowledge and expertise among practitioners in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Its target audience includes English language teachers, classroom practitioners, and professionals in schools and tertiary settings who are interested in contextualizing and advancing ELT research.
Scope
Articles in the CPELT Bulletin should focus on the day-to-day teaching situations and writers are expected to reflect on their classroom practice, professional development, curriculum, assessment, and technology integration.
Types of Articles
The CPELT Bulletin accepts the following paper types:
Reflective article
Reflective articles intend to depict teachers' perceptions of and experiences with classroom practices. Writers are not expected to embark on data collection and therefore no ethical approval form is required. If the writer chooses to conduct data collection, an ethical approval form is required.
Research article
Research articles are to report on the findings of an empirical research (preferably action research) conducted by the researcher(s) within the scope of the CPELT Bulletin. An ethical approval form is required.
Author Guidelines
The CPELT Bulletin accepts two types of articles: research papers and reflective articles. For research papers, authors should have obtained ethical approval before conducting the research. Yet, this is not a requirement for reflective articles. Please note that reflective articles should include implications for practice (i.e., guidelines for applying the suggested practice).
